Maine Creative Residency
Propose a dream for a time to rest and recharge this Summer with a selected group of creatives. There are 5 spots/rooms available at different rates. There is also a special mini sublet option for months of Jan - April which can include metal studio access! See rates and how to send a proposal below.
Whether you're a group of artists looking for a place to reflect or rest from your work, or a group of small creative business owners looking to recharge, this 1854 home in beautiful midcoast maine can be your opportunity for a precious re-set. Each room has a tiny desk, and there is an option to add use of creative flex space to work across the street in our neighbors old brick school house on the river. I can connect you with local artists and activities if you'd like some direction.

FEES
We differentiate the value of the residency fees according to the characteristics of the accommodation. By differentiating the fees we are establishing a more fair criterion between residents, and also enabling those with fewer incomes to come to our place.
Work Exchange suggestions welcome! (house repair, landscaping, etc)
Current fees - 5% discount for over 6 day stays, and more for month long stays (inquire in proposal form below).

1. Stella's Bedroom, a larger bedroom with a queen bed and en suite private bathroom - $110/night
2. Willa's Bedroom, with queen bed, a small desk, sharing a bathroom with Mila's guest – $ 90/night
3. Mila's Bedroom, with a twin bed, a small desk, best river view in the house, sharing a bathroom with Willa's bedroom – $ 80/night

WHOLE HOUSE - Short Stays
- Short stay for the hole house of 5 bedrooms and all common spaces - $400/night with min. 4 nights.
WHOLE HOUSE and METAL STUDIO- Sublet (special occasion winter/spring 2025)
- Longer stay/sublet, only JAN - FEB 2025, (partial or whole time, Erica/owner present), with solo studio access, sliding scale 500 - 1500 depending on need. Email to discuss options. em@ericamoody.com

STUDIO ANNEX (non metalwork)​
Studio Space in the Brick School
circa 1857 Brick school across the street from the house, with tidal river access and views, is offering an option to have work space. Cost and details can be discussed, as the space is 2 floors that are currently flex use, but situations can be discussed for each artist. Beautiful large windows and high ceilings. In your inquiry form please let us know what type of space you would suit you, and we will be in touch with working out details and cost. We customize the space for your needs, wherever possible! When
Currently accepting residency proposals for longer sublet in jan - april, and Summer 2025

Flex times for Summer: June - September, possibly other times upon request.
Residencies are suggested to start on Fridays. If a two week or monthly stay, starts are on the 1st or on the 15th of each month preferably. Please note that after the acceptance into the Creative Residency program, we will ask for full payment for the stay and cleaning fees before arrival if stay is a week or less. For longer stays an initial deposit of 50% of the total value of the stay. The rest of the value is to be paid during the first week of residency. Payment due date to be messaged in acceptance email.

Fees include a private bedroom, use of all shared spaces, parking, wifi, laundry, linens, and utilities. Extra Studio Annex fee includes shared use of the creative flex space at the school (which has hot and cold water, walls, a couple of private rooms, slop area, wifi, electricity, and other details to be determined per artist request).

Cancellation requests with a full reimbursement of the deposit should be made by writing within 1 month before the start of the period of stay. All other cancellations will not result in the refund. Deposits are non-refundable and residency dates are non-transferable.

PROPOSE YOUR RETREAT
Current availability for residency proposals is September and Summer 2025. Summer 2024 is already booked!
